What is Computer:-

Computer

A computer is an electronic device designed to work with information. The term computer is derived from the Latin term 'computer', meaning a computational program. Can't do anything without a computer program. It represents the decimal number through a string of binary digits. The word 'computer' usually refers to the internal processor unit as well as the internal memory.

Charles Babbage is known as the "Grand Father" of computers. The first mechanical computer designed by Charles Babbage was called the Analytics Engine. It uses read-only memory in cartoon card format.

A computer is an advanced electronic device that takes raw data from the user as input and processes the data that is in control of a set of instructions (called a program) and results ( Output) and saves the output for future use. It can process both numeric and non-numeric (mathematical and logical) calculations.

Digital Computer Definition:-

The basic components of a modern digital computer are: input device, output device, central processor unit (CPU), mass storage device and memory. A typical modern computer uses LSI Chips.

Input (data):-

Input is the raw information that is entered into the computer from the input devices. It is a collection of letters, numbers, pictures and more.

The process:-

The process is a process of statistics according to the instructions given. This is completely internal to the computer system.

Output:

Output is the computer's processed data after data processing. Output is also called result. We may store these results in storage devices for future use.

Computer classification: In terms of size and power:

Computers vary depending on their data processing capabilities. They are rated according to purpose, data handling and functionality.
Computers are classified by:

• Analog computer:-

A computer that represents numbers that contain some variable physical quantity, which in some cases mimics certain system features.

• Personal Computer:-

A personal computer is a small and low cost computer. The term "personal computer" is used to describe desktop computers (desktops).

• Workstation:-

Terminal or desktop computer in the network. In this context, a work server is just a generic term for a client machine (client machine) as opposed to "server" or "mainframe".

• Mini Computer:-

A mini computer is not too small. At least, that's not the way most of us think about semen. You know how big your personal computer is and the family.

• Mainframe:-

It refers to the large computers that run the entire corporation.

• Supercomputer: 

This is the largest, fastest, and most expensive computer on earth.

• Microcomputer:-

Your personal computer is a microcomputer.
